As a songwriter, I write about my life and the lives of my friends and family. If something moves me then I will write a song and sometimes what emerges feels kind of special. After drunkenly playing some songs to people I worked with in a pub, I was harangued into playing at an open mic afternoon there. I got a positive response and have carried on playing my songs for people ever since.

I've sung in Birmingham and in London at venues as varied as The Spice of Life in Soho to The Market Tavern in Digbeth, taking in many a cocktail bar and dive bar along the way.

My songs are passionate and often raw and after listening to them people have compared my voice to Joan Baez.

I can perform alone with my guitar or with a bass player and/or guitarist thrown into the mix. I have about an hour of original material but can easily throw some original takes on covers to extend the set to several hours if required.
